Anxiety seems like a fairly measured response all things considered.I was just thinking about this earlier. It seems paradoxical that being more concerned with rational thinking would have a counter intuitive effect. I sometimes feel very down on myself, but then I remember what I put myself through mentally, and what sort of thoughts I deal with every day that others don't. It almost makes me smile, thinking about how I actually feel more anxiety about things because I think very deeply. Ironic though, that someone who doesn't think as deeply wouldn't be burdened by anxiety. I think that says something about the mind being a learning machine, and not a processing machine. Processing too much information is futile, and will just give you nervous ticks and screw with your brain. If you're a creature of habit, who just does what he's told and watches football every saturday evening, then you probably aren't troubled by more logic intensive thoughts.
