Or, is it a reflection of your feelings toward certain people who choose to mock your beliefs or are disrespectful toward you in other ways? Or, do you have another explanation, sir? There is a fear element with God. Due to the gift of free will, we can accept or reject him. If we accept him there is comfort and no fear. Those are consequences of choosing him over the world. If you choose not to follow him and follow the way of the world, then you choose the consequences that will befall the world. The love he offers is the means to escape the trials that come with an existence without him. If you choose him you have eternity with him. If you don't choose him you have eternity without him. Eternity without him results in the suffering involved in the state of being totally without his influence.
