So what the fuck is it you're actually asking me?
Are you asking if memory problems are a disability? I'm not your fucking kindergarten teacher. Google it.
Are you asking if I have memory problems? I said I did, and not just once. Look at my SECOND introduction message. I'm not sure why you would question that, and really I don't give a fuck if you believe me or not.
Are you asking the level of my cognitive impairment? Why? Are we best friends and you are truly concerned for me? It's none of your fucking business.
Are you asking for my medical history regarding this alleged issue? Fuck you. Would you ask for my x-rays if I had said I was paralyzed? And if so, fuck you again.
Given the parts that you bolded of what I said it would appear that you are asking two things.
First. Is having a bad memory a disability? Google it and it should take you too long to come across the Disability Social Security web page. When applying for Disability benefits they ask up to two questions. The first, "Is what you have a disability?" If, and ONLY if the answer to that question is "yes" they go on to ask the second question, "Is your impairment severe enough to qualify for benefits?" The SS page you will come across is asking that second question. And why the hell would I have to prove something to you that's so easy to look up?
The second part you've bolded suggests that you are questioning my claim of having a bad memory altogether. I don't know what to tell you, dude. Believe it or don't. That's up to you.
But the actual question you've asked is "Have I been diagnosed". Again, that is none of your business. Again, if I has claimed to be in a wheelchair would you have questioned if I had been diagnosed with a disability? If I had claimed to be an amputee would you have asked if a doctor had told me that I was an amputee? Let me ask you something. How big a prick would you be if you asked someone for their medical records to prove they couldn't walk?
I made two claims. The first, I said I have a bad memory, bad enough that it scares me sometimes. Take me on my word there or don't.
The second, I said that a bad memory was a disability. You don't have to take my word for that. Google will tell you all about cognitive disorders and the different levels and diagnoses possible for memory problems. Google will take you to the Disability Social Security page where you can see what level of impairment is required to qualify for disability benefits.
So you pound your damned chest and pretend that you fucking know something about me all you want. Not only am I under no obligation to share my medical information with you, you are a prick for asking. It is un-fucking cool. I have a bad memory, memory problems are a disability. Both of those things are true. Whether I have been officially diagnosed and, un-fucking-believably, what was my diagnosis, that's still none of your fucking business. What the fuck made you think it was okay to ask me that?
So self diagnosed and claiming that you meet the requirements of the ADA with no other documentation or supporting evidence. It does not work that way. I won't take your word for it. I'm not quite sure why you feel you should be able to play the ADA or disability card. Pity? Excuse? I consider it an offense to those I know who are disabled. Therefore I consider it an offense to me.
If you say you have a poor memory, fine, I'll accept that. If you claim that it rises to the level to be considered a disability by society (not just you) then you'll have to put up or shut up.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
