If one of your loved ones died, and then someone else made a facebook post mentioning their death - and then in the same sentence pointed out some moronic idea that they held as a point of ridicule... would you feel okay with that?

I did not point it out; the free press did!  That's how I discovered that the family was Catholic, in the first place!  Living half-way across the US, I had no idea who these people were, and in fact, I have never been out East!

But, since, so many board members have found this thread to be offensive, I hereby withdraw it, and offer my apologies to the board for its offensive content.  And, I would ask the moderators at this point to either lock the thread, and if possible, to delete it in its entirety.

I deplore the loss of life in that tragedy, and I am not ridiculing them; rather, I am ridiculing their moronic beliefs.  And, yes, I think that religious faith does correlate with overall levels of stupidity.

So, calling them stupid isn't ridiculing them now?

And yes, you're ridiculing their beliefs, too, as a father has to bury his four kids and wife, all the while implying they got what they deserved.  Stay classy.

I doubt that they are reading this board.  And, no, they did not get "what they deserved".  NO ONE deserves to die!  Period!!!
