Just for the record, if I could give my life, right here and right now, this exact moment, to bring those four kids and their mom back to life at this very instant, I would do it, without any hesitation whatsoever.

Not true; there are lots of atheist countries (France, northern Scandinavia) where people simply learn to deal with it.  There's nothing wrong with believing in life before death!

And yet those countries still have enormous numbers of believers.

It's true that religion will be around a long time because mortality scares the shit out of 'em.
