Red Barchetta
"My Uncle Has a country place
No one knows about" implying his family or at least his extended family is well off.
lol, you realize that the latter is set a few hundred years in the future, and is not autobiographical?

Teen boys certainly can have an affinity to those things, I did at one time, but I also came from the suburbs and my family was middle class. Those lines in that song do not strike me as a poor family or even middle class family in desperation.
None of them came from wealth; they were all three born into middle-class families. And their lyrics, written by Neil Peart, do often espouse libertarian views, but that hardly means that 1) their oeuvre has an agenda pushing upper-class concerns, or 2) your interpretation of a couple of isolated lines is apt.
You might want to learn a little bit before opining. You're not doing yourself any favors.
As pointed out by futuristic sound composition in the song
As for wealth Alex was born to immigrants for Serbia and were not well off, Geddy would have been lower middle for sure if one reads his bio. Neil given his bio seems upper middle class .

And Hold Your Fire was '87-'88, Gramps. Losing a little of the ole memory banks, eh?
I can confirm they all sounded the same. I saw the last 2112 show in 76, a show supporting Hemispheres in 79 both here in Huntsville and another show in El Paso sometime around 81-82. I still remember wondering if the drum solo in El Paso would ever end.
Yeah I remember the last time they came to blues fest 2013 they tried that shit. The young ones have more balls then I do. Because they started booing and demanding they actually play a song not let Neil pad out the show.

Rush, the only Canadian export I've bought.
They almost make up for the one-two punch of Celine Dion and Bryan Adams.
Almost.
Trust me Americans could never hate Celine as much as we do . After all she's a freaking separatist who lives in the states. Which is why any time I see here with a Canadian flag I just wanna punch my screen and yell". get you hands off my flag "
