WRONG once again Ace.  

LR never said that so stop imaging things.
LR instead said that human beings are Trifarious in nature.
Trifarious definition: facing in three different directions
Material-physical, mental and spiritual.
That means that by feeding only one or two of these natural tendencies and neglect the rest there would naturally arise an imbalance in the person or society when most people follow this imbalanced way of life.

So materialism is not evil in nature but become evil once it is taken as the main object of our
tendencies and when we neglect mind and spirit.

Okay, you never said materialism is useless. Fair enough. However you seem to be very intent on taking issue with materialism.

My problem with this is we have no proof of anything but the material world in that we have no proof of anything spiritual or anything outside of nature.

So this idea of humans being having a need for spirituality is completely unfounded.

The proof that there is a need for spirituality is more than evident.
None is able to find peace of mind (and here I am talking about a permanent peace of mind)
only by materialistic-physical and mental means.
The fact that people have to repeat the same action again and again is the proof.
The satisfaction that you may find by having sex or doing other things only last a very short time.
Is not a permanent satisfaction that is why people go back to it again and again.
This is proof that human beings long for a permanent status not a temporary one so if the material-physical or mental side is unable to give that to us it is obvious that only the spiritual side can.

Real science is a lot older then modern science.
In fact the first science goes back 7000 years ago when Lord Shiva gave INTUITIONAL SCIENCE.
Your link say that science is related mainly to this physical universe.

This physical universe is external to us therefore is not as important as the science that study what is within.
The old saying.............IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ALL YOU WILL HAVE TO KNOW YOURSELF.........and this require to extract the knowledge from within rather then from the external arena.

LR however is a very very patient person so he will explain to you once again.

Suppose you start studying in order to become a doctor.
Somebody come to you and say...........what is the cure for such and such disease?
You say to that person..........eh, wait a minute son I just started to study to become a doctor
how I suppose to know what a qualified doctor that studied 6-7 years know?

Beside there is an other thing that you should know.
When you start the great journey to human emancipation by practicing intuitional science or yoga meditation your guru or teacher has a duty as well.
The duty is to make sure that you are not able to use the power that you slowly slowly are gaining.
That would be very very dangerous because the material attractions would drag you down and in this way you would sink lower and lower losing all the gain that you did make.

Only when you reach the very top the guru will have to give you everything and at that stage you are in a position to be in charge and know everything.
