And again, you can't say how I've misrepresented you. 

You still think that religion = the people who hold the beliefs which is what you've specifically stated. No misrepresentation. The "punching up" "punching down" nonsense is simply another example of trying to protect minorities (people) by protecting their beliefs (religion) from criticism since you see them as equivalent. Yes, let's protect minorities, but No let's not give their beliefs any special treatment because of their status as minorities.
Islam counts 1.5 billion followers worldwide. It doesn't need to be patronized in this way. 

I think the problem is that you aren't aware that you're doing this, so you think your views are being misrepresented.
