Someone using the word attack doesn't mean Islamic terrorist attack.
I just watched the video footage of the car, it's fairly obviously not an accident like some old man with sight difficulties.
There wouldn't be anything wrong in questioning or thinking this could have been an Islamic terrorist attack, it happens. It's happened in New York before, this method has been used before. Everyone was thinking it was possible, it's obviously the first thing the police suspected.
From what I've read he did this deliberately, he wanted to kill people then be killed, he took PCP and said he heard voices and he did it for god. But again according to what I've read he was more interested in scientology than Islam, and it was probably the god of PCP that he was doing it for.
