On the best of days mainline Christian denoms have a tough time splainin' the Trinity from their viewpoint, you can't imagine how filtering 'regular' Trinitarian dogma through the LDS lens of gobbledygook totally scrambles an already difficult and confusing aspect of faith into something you can tell even they are palpably uncomfortable recounting.
I.e. "I don't understand something, therefore it deserves to be mocked"
The point being, they don't understand it either, and you can read my "palpably uncomfortable" as "embarrassed". See, even THEY know they are schilling BS.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
