Many atheists are liberal, socially progressive and completely illogical in areas of politics and emotional control.

Imagine yourself being born into a World where you do not know, in advance, the type of genes, environment, medical condition, family, etc. that you'll become part of, and then you'll understand why a lot of atheists (not all, to be sure) are liberal and progressive.
