Yeah, Bill Maher has been known to vacillate between insightful and idiotic with an ease that's quite frankly terrifying. A lot of Religulous was pretty reasonable (not all of it, of course, but at least quite a bit of it still holds up), however, around the same time, he latched onto the anti-vaxxer movement and even at one point made remarks about how Louis Pasteur repudiated germ theory on his deathbed. He's also worked with PeTA, for what it's worth.
I hated the movie. Sure, he aired out the major arguments against religiosity, but in such a manner that supported, or perhaps provided, society with the atheist-as-asshole stereotype.
He doesn't represent me at all.
