Usually, I don't take the the self-censorship position, but in this case I do. In America, the legacy of slavery and racial segregation makes it a special case. Attaining those freedoms was so hard fought and their prior affect so socially devastating that constant vigilance is necessary.
Special case? Some folks privileged to use that word when most of the world isn't allowed? Sorry, that just don't work for me.
