If you're going to dilute God to be the universe, then the term has no meaning whatsoever.
Does the universe watch and judge you when you masterbate?
Does it offer you an extra life?
If that's all god was, we wouldn't have religions.
There is no warm and fuzzy to be found in the cold and heartless universe in which we live in other than that which we feel via our animal emotions.
