Yes. It may have been a minor factor, but the deep-rooted anger towards and mistrust of the Dem establishment was much bigger than gender.

Aaand that was a big problem. Remember, it was a specific section of America that ultimately decided the election. The rust belt and the like felt betrayed and neglected by Obama's policies. Why would they want more of the same?
