But there is hope... the GDO immediately expand to Mars to begin terraforming it, and enter a Golden Age of science. Valuing achievement and ability above all else: talent finds home there. And it finds it from the very education system up... gone is standardization: replaced fully by specialization and skill. Religion is entirely dead as an organizational force.
The UN also enter a Golden Age of science, as they had to progress to survive against the onslaught of the GDO. Plasma weapons, carbon nanotube armor lining plated Tri-tungstenite, gauss cannons, unlimited energy and 100% efficient waste recycling... they took it out from sheer numbers, perseverance, and adaptation (I mentioned sonic weapons). They become a socialistic and world-united society in the process. Valuing happiness and general well being of everyone above all else: people can live in safety. And unlike the socialisms of the past: this truly is what the Human, Karl Marx wrote of and dreamt of.
Gone are the terrorists in both cases... gone are the wars with each other... gone is starvation and poverty... and at least for a few years is crime gone (it is forever gone in the GDO, returns in mild amounts to the UN after about a decade).

My niece does. -1 ants.

Agreed but only +1.

But the Klackon, more advanced and larger ants, do. Still only +1.

Until the lawn mower comes along. Still only +1.

James.
You aren't as ruthless to them as I am then. -1 for your own failure to rid yourself of ants.
Back to net 0 for the ants.
