All the hate for Kentucky. The reason that this project is going up in Kentucky has very little to do with the residents. The real estate is cheap, the state is willing to cut sweetheart deals for any large developer, and its within a days drive of 2/3 of the population of the US. Same reason I'm here. It's unfortunate, a bit embarrassing, but please don't let the folly of some stain the image of the whole. Nearly six generations of my family were born here, we've never been bible thumpers, and there are a lot of us....entire counties, in fact. The vast stretches of absolute poverty in the state allow creative minds to fleece the gullible for what little they have left, this is one such example. The organizers and developers of this project intend to make money, it's not some non-profit religious outreach program, it's a theme park.
