Yeah its pretty laughable, really. But I get the concept of unconditional love. Im not going to give someone a hard time for wanting to love and spread love on this planet. The thread is about Christianity and suicide. There are so, so many children who commit suicide evdry day! Their lives so horrible, their only out is a jump rope and a closet hanger. Now that, takes some pretty horrific fucking life conditions. As a kid my grandparents took that out together too. Don't blame em, cancer and schitz and financial destitution with the only hope being living in a nursing home in the 80's till u die? Meh. They went out with a bang. I never understood why then they should have to go to hell for that. Why must those who suffer the most on this earth to the point that they no longer want for life--suffer in death eternal?
As I told my dad this month. I'd rather spend eternal torment in hell, than eternity in heaven at the expense of those in hell. Their laments and suffering could never leave my ears otherwise, which in my eyes makes me akin to being morally superior to god.

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
