One side has to tap-dance around what the narrow scope of some old books say and, as many different perspective as there may be besides that one, the one I subscribe to bases it on what the scientific evidence has to say coupled with a secular humanist morality standpoint which is extremely open to situational cases with an objective outcome still at the pinnacle.
