And I follow an Icelandic guy on Facebook :/ I would suggest looking up some resources on proper English grammar, since your's looks less lazy and more like you just don't quite understand it. It will make it easier to understand your points, and there will be fewer misunderstandings in our arguments Smile

But, to your points, we don't think that what is in the religious books is what god means. We don't believe in god, so why would we? What we are doing is similar to the Devil's Advocated exercise. Let's talk specifically about Christians. They come on here believing that the Bible is true. So we play along, pointing out the contradictions, logical fallacies, etc. In essence saying "if your god actually does exist, he's pretty bad at this." We are not saying the holy books represent a god if one exists, we are saying that the holy books represents the idea of god that a religion has. And so we use them to argue against the religion and it's specific god.

As for death, no one knows what happens when you die. It might be that an eternal hell is all that exists and there is no god to save us from it. Or we might just lose consciousness, like slipping into a coma. Maybe when our atoms are rearranged into a new living creature our consciousness will return and we'll live again. Some of these are silly I know, but the point is we have no way of studying what happens after we die.

Rik intuits what happens after death, scientifically.  I know, I know.  Breathtakingly stupid but hey, rationality is a choice .. one Rik chooses not to make.

What is rationality Whatever?
You tell me. I'm all ears!
Is thinking that the universe pop up as per magic and nobody run it or to think that behind such a complex
universe there is a mind and a big one as well?
Is rationality to think that our consciousness pop up as per magic thanks to previous generations or the so called evolution of the species or that we build that up through many reincarnation and hard work?

You guys are incredible.
One moment you believe in magic, the next moment you claim that you are rational.

How can you believe in two opposite beliefs?  Huh
