What you said has got nothing to do with what I said. Lincoln got rid of McClellan about 18 months after it was shown that in times of war he was an incompetent at which time he should have been gotten rid of not when he actually was.

A decisive general who knew what he was doing on the battlefield probably would have won the war in 1861 or 1862.
