Well, considering that there were so many different testimonies, including the majority of whom saw nothing and all of the different testimonies are mutually contradictory, your damned right I give no credence to the words of people who looked directly at the sun too long.
Quote:That's not how society works. Look at our judicial system - if you were accused of robbing a bank in broad daylight and even ONE witness were to come forward saying they saw you do it, that alone could convince a jury to lock you up.
That's not how police work works. If you're sending such a weak case to theDPP/DA/CPS for prosecution, then you're in a whole heap of trouble. Working in a police station I know that if an investigating member recommended a prosecution on such a weak case as you describe, depending on one person's word and not looking for evidence, they'd be facing disciplinary action not a defence barrister.
Quote:Now consider if 2 or 3 witnesses were to come forward - then it's a no-brainer for the jury - they will unanimously vote to lock you up for the rest your life. That's how valuable our society has always looked at eyewitnesses.
No, still too weak to bring a case as, and I know this is hard for you to understand so concentrate, there is no evidence in the case just testimony of bystanders.
Quote:Now considering there are HUNDREDS of documented eyewitness testimonies for the miracle that took place in Fatima, we're not all going to suddenly pretend eyewitness testimonies have no value.
And as I said above the testimony isn't worth shit because what different people said is contradictory, and most people at the site saw nothing unusual.
Quote:Ask yourself WHY so many unanimous eyewitness testimonies exist, even when all these people didn't know each other.
Not unanimous, contradictory. People described the sun dancing across the sky, moving from side to side, up and down and enlarging and shrinking all at the same time. All these contradict each other, and more importantly, are all symptoms of people who look directly at a bright source of light for too long. Guess what, the sun is the brightest light source in the sky.
Quote:Idon't have a leg to stand on when it comes to this argument, as I have provided no evidence only bate assertion.
Fixed the final part of your quote to make it honest.
