If it wasn't for the coloring that picture wouldn't be all that noteworthy. I think APOD has similiar on file, yes?

Pretty regular; makes me wonder if they are not also trying to make a point??  And, I don't think that the pic was colored.

You guys can have those things. I'll settle for the occasional earthquake while living in a house built to the '95 California Building Code, in spite of the fact that homes I lived in that were built in the '50s still managed to not fall down in a 7+ earthquake.

Conservative Christians deny climate change (see my Iowa GOP thread); extreme weather is just proof of God's existence.  After all, what is the probability of someone taking a picture of a tornado and lightning strike at the exact same moment??  Must be because God willed such!
