I need to understand this constant end i'm talking about more, its hard to explain, its like what you say the word "Now" by the time you have said it, its not now anymore, but a new now, Ahhh i dunno lol.... not just the word Now, any word.

Also, I'm not sure how relevant moving falward in person is in relation to the expansion of the universe.

It's not just the word, it's about having a frame of reference. With the ocean example, if all you see is still water all around you, you won't know where or how far you have moved. But if there was a chopper flying above looking at you, they can see your position change. Similarly, whatever you consider future or the past are points within the time stream(for lack of a better word), you need an outside or constant frame of reference to determine the changes.
