I don't think any human can claim they represent reason but the chosen ones.

I rely on the chosen ones, and I rely on the guide, that has clear evidence for his authority.

Neither Dawkins nor Harris represent the right path of reasoning and what reasoning leads to.

Reasoning and reflection is the path the Quran calls to and doesn't value worshiping God without it.

Why should I trust you guys know how to reason properly?  Because you emphasize on it? So what?

I have seen nothing but a mockery of reason from you guys.

The best reasoning is mocked, the best reflections are dismissed, and you are immersed in doubt for the sake of doubting....

If you don't know when to stop doubting, then doubting becomes purposeless, you have to recognize when to realize truth and acknowledge it. When evidence is presented even if it goes against your most treasured desires, you got to abandon it.

The Truth is reason is best represented by God's chosen ones, who can teach us how to recite God's book and connect us to him through that recitation.

They are light and the eyes we are meant to perceive by.

Here few points.

1) It is the nut case that started this thread that should give evidence that Jesus was a bad person considering that he think so.

2) I do not pray anyone.
Why should I?
I don't follow religions in which people ask for the daily bread or miracles.
In yoga you got to work hard to get your daily bread or to sort out your problems.

3) Jesus never intended to start any religion.
In fact he opposed religions that is why the priest of his time convinced Pilate to kill him.

4) From what we know Jesus did nothing wrong to be vituperate.

5) Nut cases relay on what religions say about Jesus but Jesus never agree with religions so anyone who vituperate Jesus on the bases of what religions say is obviously a nut case.
If you also put the fact that religions have committed so many crimes then their reputation convince anyone that whatever religions say is wrong even when they say something that occasionally make sense.

Wouldn't we first need proof that Jesus was a person before we start worrying about whether he was a bad one?

Also, Jesus seems pretty supportive of the old Jewish laws (except when he conveniently breaks them), and I'm pretty sure Judaism is a religion.

But here we are with your questions.

1) Judaism is a religion.
Who ever said the opposite?
Jesus may well have respected some of the traditions within this religion so what?
It doesn't mean that because religions are mainly build on dogma 100% of what religions say is wrong.

The same apply to anybody.
A mate of mine called Pinky is a bit of a nut case but within in his subconscious there is a light that sooner or later will lead him higher and higher.
In other words it is important to tell Pinky how wrong he is but at the same time respect his divinity within.

Jesus was a man of no compromises that is why he was a special human being.
Tell what is wrong and agree with what is correct.

2) There is enough evidence that Jesus was a person as there is enough evidence that Caesar cross the Rubicon or the Vikings went around stealing and killing.

You can't believe only what you like and refuse to believe what goes against your agenda.
