I have read the bible and it is a very poor read, the plot is poorly constructed and the characters in realistic.
Its riddles with contradictions just makes very little sense.
Try it yourself, sit down and read the bible from beginning to end, do not skip to your favourites or take bits out of context, just read it like you would any other book. it will open your eyes to just how shit it is.
I've read it from the first to last page, straight through and it makes perfect sense, you should try a chronological reading of the Bible, there are Bibles that are set up chronologically. There are no contradictions in the scriptures it's just your lack of understanding that leads you to think so, but I doubt you've spent enough time with the Bible to know this. I believe you are parroting what others have said instead of using you mind and finding out for yourself. The Bible is a perfectly woven tapestry without one thread missing.
