Very touching. Such a tragic loss and yet as she said, she was indeed blessed to have the love of her life even for a short time.
And for the record, blessings for me aren't something exclusive to religion or the religious. For me, blessings are the best of what life has to gift you. The privilege, the joy, the grace, the happiness, that makes living just that much more beautiful.
