Darwinian evolution is concerned ONLY with the evolution of simple life into more complex life. Darwinian evolution does not address the origin of life and most certainly does not in the slightest have anything to say about planetary age, planetary formation, stellar formation or the origin of the universe.
The general public makes this mistake frequently. That contributes to ignorance. People refuse to accept evolution as fact partly because they think it is making claims it does not. Poll numbers are skewed because people don't understand what evolution is. If you're trying to sell the public a complete, natural explanation of the universe, please don't call it Darwinian Evolution. Darwinian Evolution is just a component of our understanding of the universe. It's solid and reliable. It's a Volkswagen. Don't sell it as a Cadillac.
Where does the OP say anything about abiogenesis?
