What are the facts of evolution, which are not to be questioned?

I have heard it said (and I believe it to be hyperbole) some question how we can have engineers, chemist, doctors, or painters that do not believe in evolution.  How can they still do their job?

I suppose the doctor would just be a bad doctor, but as for the painter and chemist I suppose it dosent really matter if they are ignorant of evolution. Some people just don't need to know the truth. Being ignorant doesn't seem to have done you any harm.

However, I am going to have serious doubts about going to a doctor (except for perhaps the most simple of things) who does not believe that the body is a complex system, specifically organized and composed for a defined function.

I would hope that most doctors are aware of the complexity of the body, after all, billions of years of evolution has left its clear marks mark on our sorry bodies which modern medicine needs to combat to give us better lives than in the past.

For example we bear the spine of a four legged creature which is ill adapted to an upright gait. ladies hips are too narrow for safe child birth and why put the bum so near to where the babies are! it's just insane!
Our mouths are linked to our breathing.
I could go on, there are all sorts of problems that our evolution has not been sufficient to remove.
