Sigh. Not that this fact matters. They are coming to get your guns, go buy moar.
No still, sucky laws that dont vet well. Va Tech shooter also had no record at time of purchase. This guy did have a record so it still remains our vetting sucks both ways.
I am tired of this crap that legal at time of buy means nothing bad will happen after the buy.
Bring this up will allow the nuts on the far right to say, "Not legal buyer's fault that was not caught".
The focus needs to be that we STILL make too many and our vetting sucks.
And the sane need to take away the bullshit narrative from the right that the sane want to ban all firearms. NO, we simply want less firearm deaths and we cant have that when we have a flooded market and sucky vetting laws.
The worst thing our government did were two things. 1. Undid the assault weapons ban. 2. Banned lawsuits against the companies.
Australia had one mass shooting and woke up, when is America going to wake up?
1) I think nominating yourself as spokesperson for all people worried about guns is a bit much. Some people simply want less firearm deaths. Plenty would like all guns to be gone.
2) You get all the checks and lawsuits and laws you want. There's another mass shooting. Do you say "Well, that's the price of freedom. Nothing we could have done." Do you think the 'we' you speak of will ever find any mass shooting as an acceptable risk to living in the US?
