Why are you only focused on  firearm homicides?   Shouldn't it be about all homicides, and even then there are other things to consider such as increase in police force.

No shit, someone can be stabbed or poisoned or fake car accident, or shoved off a cliff, NO FUCKING SHIT.

But a firearm is far easier to use because it gives the user DISTANCE and SPEED.

AND moron, the bulk of firearm deaths OCCUR IN THE HOME.
