No we cant nor should we stop making it about the makers. If you agree that we have too many events like this then that is the discussion we should have. No different than talking about burning fossil fuels and climate change. No different than Nadar exposing cars as the bad products they were prior to mandated safety regulations. No different than tobacco companies being exposed for their bad marketing too.
There is a health care cost to every insurance buyer and to all tax payers by allowing this flooded market of firearms, both on an injury and death scale, but also the mental health costs for families and survivors.
