OP brought his children into it in order to denigrate Christianity. He dished it out. You can't take it.

He's denigrating a religion that a person can easily make a solid argument for despising. A religion, not a person. You think it's okay for someone to call children stupid because an organization was insulted? Organizations don't have feelings.

Do you see stupid as similar to cunt in severity? Maybe you toss cunt around so much that it's watered down for you, but to a lot of people it's pretty severe.

Like I said, I agree Steve's comment wasn't right. But I wouldn't say he's a cunt for responding that way to accusations of child abuse.

I would call someone a cunt for calling children stupid. You can't keep bringing up another thread. He wasn't quoting an accusation of child abuse. He was quoting the OP.

I would say he's human. People understandably don't take too well to being accused of abusing their own kids.

Again, wrong thread. It's also against the rules to call someone a pedophile, I think. So, do something about it instead of calling kids stupid, maybe?

I think AM was saying it's a double standard to not say a peep when an atheist accuses all Christian parents of child abuse, but then use the word "cunt" at the person who responded by calling the accuser's daughters stupid.

Personally I think being a parent and being accused of abusing your own kids is worse than having someone retaliate by calling your teenage kids stupid.

CL, this is not that thread. No amount of bringing it up and saying this was retaliating to that is going to change it. Please do not pretend I ignore accusations of pedophilia simply because I didn't bring them up in a thread where it didn't happen. However, I will say that attacking children in any way (verbally) is worse than verbally attacking an adult in any way.

I know BBZ didn't say in this thread that we abuse kids. But as you can imagine he left a very nasty taste in our mouths.

I did report that thread though, so we'll see.

Oh, dear. Catholic Lady, the abuse thread was created after this thread. The comment insulting the OP's children was made before the abuse thread was created. Sorry. Every argument you've made is moot.

Ok, I see that now. My apologies. Hard to keep track of which obnoxious thread was made before the other when they're all by the same obnoxious poster.

I stand by that accusing a parent of abusing their own children is more heinous than telling a parent their kids are stupid. But yes, Steve's comment was uncalled for nonetheless.
