A lot of people including my own kid complain that I walk too fast. I have places to go, people to see and things to do - hurry up, people!

I'm with you on that. I get really annoyed when people take a waddle out of the store, or anywhere else, for that matter. People gotta look at every gewgaw in the store instead of just staying out of the way of those of us who went to get some <whatever> and get out. My wife is one of them. I go to CostCo for the groceries, I have a list. I can drive there, get the goods and be back home in less than 45 minutes (3.5 miles, one way). My wife can take the same list, and show up 2 hours later with all kinds of shit that ain't on the list, and that will likely rot before it gets eaten. She gripes because I went to CostCo and didn't get enough food, sometimes. I have no problem whatsoever going up to the market for some fresh lettuce midweek, instead of buying the megabundle at CostCo, half of which came from some other country on a garbage scow and is going to be rotten before we get to it. And sometimes even if we try to eat it right away.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
