Help me catch the office coffee thief

It’s not petty. I’m not making anybody coffee for kicks. My time is limited in the first hour of the day. Can’t wait around because people don’t have manners.

Well again, I'd either make it at home, or inform the bosses, but I would not take matters into your own hands.  

I'd say your first and best option is to inform, and try to get the management to BUY a coffee maker and get people to contributed to buying the coffee, anyone caught with a mug who hasn't paid would be the best way to stop it. I wouldn't spike anything if you were considering that because you don't know anyone's allergies or medical conditions. And again, outside that it can be completely avoided by making your coffee and drinking it BEFORE you go to work, or go out and buy it on your break.

Lol but whyyyyyyyyy must I adjust my routine? That person is the one that shouldn’t take my coffee.
I won’t retaliate in a risky manner, but I will have fun with it, if it continues after the sign I put up. I like having my coffee at work. I shouldn’t have to change that.
