A thread that has garnered replies and responses that meet the Terms Of Service could not be deleted by staff without the staff being viewed as 'unfair and capricious' to the folks that responded in good faith to that topic.
Hope this clarifies the rationale for not honoring the request. MW85's posts in other threads/topics are similarly protected from casual erasure too, regardless of who is asking, or even why, assuming the posts meet the Terms of Service.
Additionally, calling attention to the topic at this distant remove is something I'm finding a little puzzling too . . . . . . . .
