I've always wondered what sort of joinery simpletons imagine magic boat was constructed with. Mortise, sown, lash? I assume clinker is out because nails aren't on the table. Was it built frame first or shell first?
If it was a mortise boat, what mortising implement was used? Were the tenons hewn and the mortises fire drilled? If it was sewn or lashed - how where the gouges created and what type of fiber was used for he binding? In either method how where any less-than-watertight joints accounted for? What was the filler, what was used as oakum and what epoxy would have done the job.
Magic wood is a terrible explanation for a boat. Particularly in that it then begs the question of how such magic wood was or even could have been worked. If anyone thinks "wood" is the answer to the question of how a boat is built........then this is laziness informing ignorance.
