Definitely report him. That sort of thing just shouldn't be tolerated. I would've stayed in the queue, given that guy a dirty look, and given the black guy a tip, making sure the racist guy saw me. But I do get why you didn't do any of that, but make sure you let him know that you don't like or practice racism yourself.
I know what it's like to be racially discriminated against, (though as far as I've seen, non racist people far outnumber racist people), and it's not fun, obviously. It's also embarrassing to confront people who're being racist towards you, even though I've done it a few times and it was so fun lol. So non racist people really should do as much as they can to quell racism, because it's not nearly as embarrassing to speak out when you're not the one being discriminated against. (I've done that too, and it's even more fun. The look of surprise on people's faces when they realize that someone they though would support them now thinks very lowly of them is priceless.)
