His question is more "Why did the husband beat his wife" (asking the racist/wife beater what exactly their reason is, isn't blaming the victim)
Yes, if we try to understand their prejudice we will be more equipped to know how to counter it, that's what I meant but Mermaid has accused me of victim blaming in just the second post which already has two kudos from thump and fireball, and her next post was "I hope so", so I now that I've victim blamed and contributed to racism myself I guess I have become a racist today. Yay 😌
