Because...and this is the last time I;ll re-explain this...I am referring to an account of events, not their characterization as consensual or meaningfully not.  I think we all obviously understand that this is the point of contention between the two positions...but nowhere is any point of contention on the events - themselves- referenced or made.  Ansari apologizes for "misreading" the situation.  He doesn;t say he didn;t follow her around the room applying the claw..or that he didn;t jab tha back of her head with his dick..etc etc etc. He said he thought she was into it..that it was, by all accounts, consensual. (another thing we're not supposed to say, ofc). His "by all accounts" must necessarily exclude her own, ofc.....
 
All of which his pr team would likely have suggested he respond to..even if it was to say, simply and classily, that none of the salacious details reported are true...if they were wholly untrue.
