If your sources are Fucks News or Breitclusterfuck, or Alex Jones, your credibility is shot.
I was mistaken. The original point, is that news report didn't say he wasn't a criminal. They said his wife said he wasn't a criminal, and the news didn't indicate they fact checked it. Rather than take the word of the wife, I figured I'd look it up as family members sometimes have small amounts of bias.
So I googled Jorge Garcia deportation snopes, and it wasn't covered. But I did see someone link to a 'Holder vs. Garcia' document, regarding the deportation of Jorge Garcia from Michigan with a timetable that seemed to line up with this story.
I think the document is a different Jorge Garcia from Michigan that's been in the US for decades getting deported. That's my bad. But if news confirms he has no criminal record rather than reporting that the wife said he didn't, it wouldn't have been up to me to go looking. Unless that is the same Jorge Garcia, but I assume Fox News/Breitbart/Alex Jones would have picked up the story by now if that were the case.

To the original point, I agree sending away this guy seems like it should be low priority. But the villain isn't the law. It's the dad who brought him into country in the first place. Which is why the whole immigration thing needs to get sorted out. I'm certainly not opposed to making an exception for this Jorge. At the same time, I'm not opposed to not making an exception either. With the illegal immigration problem being what it is, something closer to zero tolerance would certainly take away a lot of the incentives to do what his father did.
