Meaning, if he suddenly appeared you would believe? No. Atheists, and most sane people, don't feel rejected by not being recognised/acknowledged by what we regard to be fantasy; i.e. not real, a product of the human imagination.
Quote:2. Do athiests hate God or do they hate organized religion in general? No. We don't believe any god exists. We can't actively despise what isn't actually real, and that goes double for religion as well. Religion isn't an objective entity causing us harm, its the crazy theist nutballs who subscribe to its dangerous dogma unquestionably that have us concerned, and what we vehemently oppose.
Quote:3. Why does it seem like athiests hate Jesus more than anyone, what do you think of Jesus?See answer to question 2.
Quote:4. Do any of you know athiests that have converted to another religion, did you feel swayed by their conversion?Atheists convert and theists de-convert all the time for a variety of reasons. I care whether my beliefs are true or not, and every time I hear an atheist convert its either due to peer pressure, some kind of emotional appeal, or they're being intellectually dishonest (they were never an atheist to start with). How we feel about reality is irrelevant at the end of the day, it has no bearing on what is real, so these justifications are not enough to convince me that their position accurately reflects reality.
Quote:5. Are you an athiest based on your research of many of the top religions, or does your athiesm come from a personal experience where you feel that God didn't show up like he should have?Neither. You should rephrase the question better, be more specific. If you want a de-conversion story I'm happy to give you a brief summary.
Quote:6. Since athiests don't believe in God and dislike when people force God on them, why do they force their negative and hateful opinions on Christians (and other religions) through mockery and verbal assault?Damn right we don't appreciate it when people resort to various tactics to get their message and persuasive religious arguments across, such as threats and the like. Its arrogant, controlling and disrespectful to the extreme.
Appeals to ridicule can not only be entertaining, but also serve to expose the wicked Christian religious dogma for what it is - an evil cult that condemns non-believers to an eternal realm of torture, suffering and/or destruction.
