I do hope you realize how shitty it would sound for a theist to express dismay at an atheist couple being pregnant on the ground that they'd raise an atheist, hell bound baby. (i don't believe that btw). The man's wife is pregnant. Be happy for them and assume they'll be good parents. Hopefully with age you'll learn to have more tolerant, less bigoted views towards those who think differently from yourself.
Not agreeing with someone doesn't mean you don't tolerate them. I didn't say theist parents are horrible, my parents are theists and they're loving. I said I don't agree with the indoctrination part, not that theist parents are bad on every single level.
Also, An atheist doesn't necessary need to indoctrinate their kids to be atheists, because we are all born without a religion.
You were obviously perturbed enough by your Christian teacher having a baby to have started a thread to bitch about it. Perhaps you should be more concerned for all the babies who will be born into broken homes, poverty, abuse, and drug addiction. At least this guy is married to the woman and has a stable job. No need to be dismayed by this pregnancy just because of the parents religious views. It would be like me sarcastically saying "Well hooray, these atheist people I know will be making another atheist..."
There's a word for that bull shit, and it's called bigotry.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
