So the article was about unemployment.  It made no mention of Trump but it immediately de-evolved into an anti-Trump rant.

LOL, I understand why you might think it came out of nowhere, however..it's just another one of alphas demon-hole scraping data mines.    

Question.   Would you all be happier with a higher unemployment rate?

Nope

Question.  Is it a bad thing for the economy to have business investment increasing dramatically?

Nope.

Question.  Do you benefit from an improved business investment within the borders of the USA?

Nope.

Question.  How many of you will pay more income taxes?  For me, my income tax liability will go down next year.

Neither I nor my business will pay -any- federal taxes, effectively, under the new scheme..in this, my situation is very much like the people for whom this tax holiday was created.  All it will take is a little legal razzle dazzle - no actual change to my business required.  Many of my socioeconomic peers (and..conveniently, my customers) however..will take a hit.  So..I suppose, if thats the context of "increased business investment"..from the q up above, then maybe I will be affected.  I kindof depend on them maintaining a certain level of disposable income.  This hit was, ofc...famously intentional and punitive, for the crime of living in a liberal island and probably not voting for the God Emperor.  Unfortunately, my business model only works in those liberal islands...where people and property have high net worth and taxes are set to follow suite.

It is true that I am new enough that I don't have a reason to question motivations. That said.

Your Nope answer on whether you benefit from improved biz invest confuses me.  Are you saying none of your customers own a business?  None of your customers benefit by improved business (trickling down to you via disposable income).

I do not know what kind of business you own, or what the clientele is, but, its kinda funny to see your own dependency on trickle down economics.  That is what you are claiming, more money in your upwardly mobile customers pockets will find its way into your pocket, right?


I don't mean to be dismissive, but I am skeptical of the accuracy of your knowledge regarding your customers income tax position.
