You perhaps missed it above, but I don't own a gun. I can, however, understand that in some instances, having a firearm in your home isn't just a matter of "feeling" safe, but actually taking a step to ensure safety. Before you go all strawman on me, I'm not saying it's a cure-all. But If I am a single mother without the means to simply move to a safer neighborhood, what would you suggest? Address the points I've made, already.
