When you stockpile weapons because you either are someone who thinks the 12 Imam is coming, or the second coming of Christ, or you are a Jew who shits his pants because someone sat you next to a woman on a commercial passenger jet.
However, in this case the stockpile would be in the local police armory until needed. Cops don't really walk/ride around in tactical gear. It's a PITA.
