Where did I say that a job would cure depression? It certainly isn't going to hurt and one would at least be coping, and mingling and overcoming despite being depressed. Self pity and self isolation isn't going to cure depression either.

That's the worst advice ever . No mingling a is only going to make things worst . Putting yourself in a potential stress environment right away is a stupid idea  . The best advice for coping  is too find a place  that makes you secure and slowly  ease yourself (with the help of a professional) into a social environment  . This is why mooks on the internet should not give counselling advice .
