"Sport"
I agree, though, ofc, no one should hunt anything alone. Being alone in the woods with a gun trying to do something inherently dangerous is always a bad idea, lol. The general use, though, for semi-autos in hunting is fast movers, and anything that could..conceivably, hurt you. That seems like a valid application of tech for sport.
Most folks don;t hunt with pistols..and thats public enemy no 1 on the gun front. Right behind that, though, are shotguns and bolt action rifles. Semi auto hunting (and sporting) rifles just don't present themselves in crime or gun death data very often. That's why I suggested breach loaders...since bolt rifles are in the no2 spot for gun death anyway. They account for the most "accidents" after pistols...both in the field and at home..maybe due to how many there are and their relative peception of being "safer" somehow. Those "accidents" themselves..account for more death and injuy than all intentional shootings with any other kind of rifle - though far..far less than both accidental and intentional shootings with handguns.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
