Your'e right about the boring, weird and health problems. But we'll have to disagree on breeding.
Well, if breeding "purebreds" leads to health problems in the offspring, then it's objectively bad. Don't get me wrong. There are several breeds I utterly adore. I simply think it's not good for the dogs. Having seen dogs with hip dysplasia and a particularly sweet English bulldog stare at the wall while having seizures, I can't condone it. I've always had mutts and/or rescues and always will.
My aunt rescued a female dog who'd been overbred by a Yorky puppy mill. She loved that horrid little shit, and I at least felt bad for it. Fuck those people.
