As a Muslim; it's a revelation from a higher entity to me. Let's be honest: if you have more experience -let's say you work at a morgue or in a similar field-, you'll see all kinds of fatalities and gore. The descriptions of hell won't be something outlandish to you.
The point is; the description of suffering serves a goal. I do know for sure that there are humans who get burned to crisp in our lifetime, get torn to pieces in our lifetime, nations even are proud to teach their kids how to inflict gore on others and call it "military honor".
At least God is saying it explicitly. Unlike the human soldier who condemns me as "sick" for talking about an entity that burns many people in an afterlife, while he -the soldier- drops Napalm on me when I turn my face away. I call it "a promise yet to come"; he calls it "orders". Nonetheless; the bastard burns me now !! God feeds me now on the other hand.
Humans are monsters. They are the demons if you think about it.
If you work in a morgue, you will see a lot of nasty stuff, I agree. But if you *revel* in it the way believers in hell seem to, then you are a sicko.
If God says explicitly, then God is also a sicko. And if that soldier enjoys bombing you (as opposed to finding it an unpleasant, but necessary job to eliminate fanatics), then the soldier is a sicko.
Your scary myths don't scare me. They are stories told to children (meaning you) to keep them in line with what their handlers want them to do. That is all.
Once you wake up and throw off the chains of your religion, you will be much more free and happy, I assure you.

Yes, a number of us here think this is a joke. A sick joke, but a joke nonetheless. Your myths don't scare us: they are stories told to children to get them to stop asking questions and obey their handers.
